Norovirus-infected diarrhea is prevalent worldwide and can occur throughout the year, mainly in adults and school-age children, with a high incidence during the cold season. Norovirus causes 60 to 90 percent of all nonbacterial diarrhea outbreaks in the United States each year. The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Japan, Australia and other developed countries have similar results. In China, the detection rate of norovirus in children under 5 years old with diarrhea is about 15%, and the serum antibody level survey shows that norovirus infection is also very common in the Chinese population. “Norovirus” infectious diarrhea is a self-limited disease, there is no vaccine and specific drugs.
