9.26 World Contraception Day | My body, my health, I choose!

World Contraception Day is celebrated on 26 September every year. World Contraception Day was founded in 2003 by Latin America as the Day for the Protection of Unintended Pregnancy, which has since received positive responses from many countries and was officially named World Contraceptive Day in 2007 by Bayer HealthCare and six international non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The vision is “a world without unintended pregnancies” to keep every family free from the harm caused by unintended pregnancies.

In fact, scientific contraception is not simple at all, not only is it an experience common sense, but also a responsibility, a fashionable and healthy attitude to life.

Is the rhythm period contraception ≠ really safe?

Women of childbearing age are absent from ovulation for more than 20 days of the month, which is widely known as the “safe period”. But in fact, the safe period is not “safe”, a little attention will cause unwanted pregnancy, because women’s menstrual cycle is rarely static, will be affected by various factors and change.

What do you think about contraceptions?

There are three types of contraceptions: short-acting, long-term and emergency contraceptives. Short-acting contraceptives not only play a contraceptive effect, but also play a role in regulating the endometrium, and this contraceptive drug is generally mild. Emergency contraception is not an ideal form of contraception. Emergency contraceptive pills have a large amount of hormones and are also very harmful to the human body, do not take more than 3 times in 1 year, no more than 1 time in 1 month, and cannot be used as a conventional contraceptive method.

What should scientific contraception do?

At present, condoms are recognized as one of the most effection contraception methods among many contraceptive methods, with an effective contraceptive rate of up to 95%, and can also prevent cross-transmission of sexually transmitted diseases to a certain extent. However, condoms need to be used with care.

On World Contraceptive Day, please be responsible for love, be responsible for the health of both parties, scientific contraception, avoid artificial abortion, and care for women’s reproductive health!
