Hantavirus belongs to the Orthohantavirus genus of the Hantaviridae family of Bunyavirales. Hantavirus is round or oval in shape, with an average diameter of 120 nm and a lipid outer membrane. The genome consists of single negative stranded RNA, which is divided into three fragments, L, M and S, encoding RNA polymerase, envelope glycoprotein and nucleocapsid protein respectively. Hantavirus is sensitive to common organic solvents and disinfectants. The virus can also be inactivated by 60 ℃ for 10 min, ultraviolet irradiation (irradiation distance is 50 cm, irradiation time is 1 h), and 60Co irradiation. At present, about 24 serotypes of Hantavirus have been found, and there are two main types of Hantavirus circulating in China, namely Hantaan virus (HTNV) and Seoul virus (SEOV). HTNV, also known as type I virus, causes more severe HFRS. SEOV, also known as Type II virus, causes a relatively mild form of HFRS.
