Cholera is a severe intestinal infectious disease caused by Vibrio cholerae, and is a class A infectious disease in China. Vibrio cholerae infects the human body through contaminated water or food, producing enterotoxin and causing disease. The typical clinical manifestations of cholera patients are: acute onset, severe diarrhea, often accompanied by vomiting, and the resulting dehydration, electrolyte disorders and muscle cramps, and in severe cases, circulatory failure and even death.
