Rift Valley Fever Virus
Rapid detection of Rift Valley Fever Virus is a transversal flow chromatography immunoassay for qualitative detection of Rift Valley Fever Virus antibodies in human serum, plasma, or whole blood. It is intended as a screening test and aid in the diagnosis of Rift Valley Fever Virus infection. Any rapid detection of viral antibodies in an active sample with Rift Valley Fever Virus must be confirmed with alternative tests and clinical trials.
Rift Valley Fever Virus
Rift Valley Fever (RVF) is an acute viral haemorrhagic fever that most commonly occurs in domestic animals (such as cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats and camels) and can also cause illness in humans. The disease is caused by Rift Valley fever virus (RVFV), a member of the genus Phlebovirus of the order Bunyaviridae.
