Monkey Pox Virus
Monkeypox virus (MPXV) belongs to the genus Orthopoxvirus of the poxviridae family and is one of the four orthopoxvirus genera that cause disease in humans, the other three being smallpox virus, vaccinia virus and vaccinia virus.

Under electron microscope, the monkeypox virus particles were brick or oval in shape, 200nmX250nm in size, with envelope, structural proteins and DNA-dependent RNA polymerase in the virus particles, and the genome was double-stranded DNA with a length of about 197kb.
