Neuron Specific Enolase(NSE)
Neuron-specific enolase (NSE) is a protein that is produced by neurons and other cells in the body. It is commonly used as a biomarker for neurological disorders, such as encephalitis, meningitis, and subacute and chronic glial diseases. NSE levels alone are not sufficient to make a definitive diagnosis of a neurological disorder or cancer, and additional tests are needed to confirm the diagnosis.
Neuron Specific Enolase(NSE)
NSE antigen is a convenient, non-invasive diagnostic marker for neurological disorders and cancer. It predicts the likelihood of developing these conditions and has easy interpretation results. Compared to other diagnostic tools, it is also relatively inexpensive and widely available.
