Krebs Von Den Lungen-6 (KL-6) is a sialic glycochain antigen commonly expressed in human type II alveolar epithelial cells. It is widely used in the diagnosis and evaluation of interstitial pneumonia, especially for the activity evaluation markers of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, allergic pneumonia, specific interstitial pneumonia, sarcoidosis, collagen disease associated interstitial pneumonia and other diseases.

KL-6 has high sensitivity and specificity, which can detect changes in the expression level of KL-6 in inflammatory cells.
