adult T-cell leukemia (ATL) is a malignant clonal proliferative disease of the lymphoid system that is directly related to HTLV-Ⅰ infection and occurs in adults. The disease mainly occurs in peripheral blood lymphocytes and can also invade bone marrow. The disease was first described in 1976 by the Japanese scholar Takahsukiyoshi. Its clinical characteristics are liver, spleen, lymph node enlargement, skin infiltration, interstitial lung infiltration, and hypercalcemia.
